I’m Jake. I’ve been detailing my own cars for about eight years now, starting with a DA polisher and some compound I picked up from a YouTube recommendation that turned out to be terrible.

Since then I’ve gone through probably two dozen ceramic coatings, every brand of microfiber towel that exists, three different pressure washers, and more polishing pads than I’d like to admit. I detail my own cars, my wife’s car, and occasionally a friend’s vehicle when they ask nicely.

This site exists because I got tired of reading reviews written by people who clearly haven’t spent a Saturday in their driveway with a panel wipe and an IR thermometer. The car detailing space is full of marketing nonsense and affiliate sites that recommend products they’ve never touched.
